Dr. Nick Birch will be visiting us from England at our Mill Valley, CA location in July and we will be offering a limited number of comprehensive 60-minute scan and consultation appointments with him.
Dr. Birch is the global authority on REMS technology and one of the world’s leading experts in bone health. A former orthopedic surgeon and one of the earliest adopters of REMS in 2018, he has personally scanned more than 4,000 patients.
Please note you will receive a printed report and your results at the time of your scan.

Before you can book your appointment, you will be asked to review and agree to a few important acknowledgements. These are in place to ensure you understand the nature of our services and our policies.
- I acknowledge that receiving a REMS scan performed by the OsteoScan USA staff does not establish a physician-patient relationship.
- I acknowledge a brief review of results will be performed at the time of the REMS evaluation which includes viewing the report on the screen at the time the report becomes visible on the monitor.
- I acknowledge that an in-depth review of my results will not be performed at the time of the REMS evaluation. An educational consultation must be scheduled separately.
- I acknowledge that OsteoScan USA does not accept insurance of any kind. Only direct payment for service is accepted.
- I acknowledge that OsteoScan USA will charge the full payment when the REMS evaluation is scheduled. There will be NO REFUNDS for cancellations.
